Drive from Arusha to a Maasai boma in the Monduli or Longido area. You are welcomed by the family, shown the enkang layout and the cattle enclosure, and given an honest introduction to how the household works.
Join the women for a beadwork session, learn what the colours and patterns signify, and share a simple meal. A short walk with an elder covers plants used for medicine and construction.
Walk out with the herders as the cattle are brought in, then return to Arusha by late afternoon.
