Depart Arusha after breakfast for Tarangire National Park. Full day game drive along the Tarangire River, where elephant herds of eighty or more gather in the dry months. Overnight at a lodge overlooking the park.
Long transfer through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, entering the Serengeti at Naabi Hill. Afternoon game drive in the Seronera valley. The riverine acacias here hold one of the highest leopard densities in Africa.
Dawn to dusk in the Serengeti with a picnic lunch in the field. Your guide tracks the herds and the predators that follow them, using live radio contact with other guides across the park.
Morning game drive, then exit via Olduvai Gorge for the museum and a talk on the Leakey excavations. Continue to the Ngorongoro crater rim for the evening.
Full morning on the crater floor. After lunch descend to Lake Manyara and settle in for the evening near the park gate.
Morning game drive through the groundwater forest and along the lake shore, then the drive back to Arusha, arriving early afternoon.
